Terms of Service

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Effective Date: September 12, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Versia. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

1. The Service

Versia is a hosted experimentation platform: you define versions of parts of your product, tell Versia what success looks like, and Versia routes traffic toward the versions that perform best. The service includes the dashboard, the evaluation and reward APIs, and related documentation.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 and, if you accept these terms for a company, authorized to bind it.

3. Plans and Billing

The Free plan is available at no charge with the limits shown on our pricing page. The Pro plan is billed monthly at the price shown at checkout, through our payment processor. Prices exclude any applicable taxes. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

Refunds. Paid plans come with a 14-day money-back guarantee: contact us within 14 days of your first purchase for a full refund.

Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from the billing page. Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period; no partial-period refunds beyond the guarantee above.

4. Your Data

You own the data you bring to Versia: your configurations, your versions and their content, and the evaluation and reward data your systems send. You grant us the rights needed to process that data to provide the service. You are responsible for the content of your versions and for having a lawful basis for any personal data you send us, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data while your account is active.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for unlawful purposes or to run experiments that are deceptive or discriminatory toward your users;
  • attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service, or circumvent usage limits;
  • resell or provide the service to third parties as your own, other than using it inside products you operate;
  • reverse engineer the service except where the law permits it;
  • send us data you have no right to share.

We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

6. Availability and Support

We work to keep Versia reliable, but the service is provided without a guaranteed uptime level on self-serve plans and may be briefly unavailable, for example during maintenance. Your applications should use the default values built into your integration when the service is unreachable. Support is provided as described on the pricing page.

7. Intellectual Property

We own the service and everything that makes it up except your data. These terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you, nor any of yours to us beyond the license in section 4.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that experiment results will achieve any particular business outcome. Optimization results depend on your traffic, your versions, and the success signals you send.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these terms and remain unremedied after notice. On termination, section 4 of the Privacy Policy’s retention rules apply to your data.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the dashboard. Continuing to use the service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Versia is established, and disputes will be resolved by the courts of that country, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you may have.
